A legal professional for nearly 25 years, Mary-Laura Greely is an award-winning attorney with experience in various aspects of corporate law. She currently serves as a partner at Brown Rudnick, LLP, in Boston. In that role, she represents both buyers and sellers on mergers and acquisitions and advises private equity funds on investments. She most frequently works with clients throughout their life cycle until a strategic exit. A significant part of her practice also involves working with Boards of Directors on best practices in corporate governance and succession planning. A member of the firm’s Corporate and Capital Markets Group, Mary-Laura Greely also belongs to its Hiring Committee, Diversity Committee, and Women’s Initiative Committee.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mary-Laura Greely graduated from Wellesley College cum laude where her studies focused on French, psychology and economics. She subsequently acquired an M.A. from Harvard University before earning her law degree from Boston University School of Law.
Early in her legal career, Mary-Laura Greely served as an associate with Nixon Peabody before joining Mintz Levin. During her nearly 16 years with Mintz Levin where she was a partner, she served as a member of its Corporate and Securities Group and Chairman of its Private Company Client Group. Her clients included Ambulance Systems of America, eScription, Inc., and EMC Corporation. Following that period, she served as a partner with McDermott Will & Emery, LLP, where she belonged to the Corporate Advisory Practice Group.
